Interfaces

The interface to ARTread™ support the following independent configurations:

1) SSP+ interface. This configuration facilitates a drop-in replacement to existing SSP+ installations. The network must be configured to support Gigabit Ethernet to accommodate gray image and result flow to and from the transport and ARTread™ OCR unit.

2) Client API DLL. The customer is supplied a DLL for integration onto the target transport.

The ARTread™ commercial interface is delivered as a SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows Siemens (internal) and 3rd parties (external) to easily integrate the OCR into new and existing (upgrade) OCR applications. At the top level the interface supplies the integrator with the means of transferring image and result data to and from the stand-alone ARTread™ OCR unit.

Barcodes

Processes all POSTNET and IMB barcodes found on a mailpiece (up to two per). Can be configured for all others.

Script Font Reading

Script and difficult font reading is included by default.

CASS/MASS

ARTread™ is MASS/CASS certified for cycle M.
Monthly directories are supplied directly to customer.

KEYLINE

ARTread™ reads and returns keyline information as printed on the mailpiece item.
