ARTread™ has been designed as a recognition product that does not depend on shape – such as flat or letter – to provide optimal performance – an intrinsic requirement to a system that is not limited by shape.

Bar Code Reader Software

Siemens ARTread™ OCR contains the latest in software based bar code reading technology.

The Bar Code Read Engine (BCRE) with ARTread™ is optimized to use the image information gathered during the image preprocessing stage needed for OCR.

The BCRE will decode and return all Postal Numeric Encoding Technique (POSTNET) codes and 4-state ID-tag codes.

The BCRE can also be licensed to return the following codes: Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF 417, Code 39, Code 128, and Code 2/5.
